Captain Don Pedro de Alberni was a Spanish officer who commanded Fort San Miguel at Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island's west coast from 1790 to 1792.

Moving along from the history lesson.......

Here is the Townsite Brewery - 10 out of 10 this one!

Powell River Townsite is a unique coastal community of British Columbia that was designated as a National Historic District of Canada in 1995. One of only seven in Canada, and the only one in western Canada, it is a very prestigious designation that confirms Powell River Townsite is an historical asset to the entire country.  It is remarkably intact with over 400 original buildings contained within the borders of the 1910 town plan, Historically, the community was preplanned with principles generated from progressive philosophical movements arising as a result of the excesses of industrialization in the late 19th century. The Garden City and Arts and Crafts Movements influenced Powell River's planners of 1910 in regard to the location and architectural style of our homes, parks, green belts, commercial buildings and recreation facilities. The prime mover behind the town's development was the Powell River Company, which was responsible for preplanning, constructing and providing for most of the community's needs.

But the correct spelling is Radler.....

What's a Radler?

The Radler is a beer-based mixed drink with a long history in German-speaking regions. Consisting of a 1:1 or 3:2 mixture of various types of beer and German-style soda pop or lemonade, the invention of the Radler has been widely attributed to the Munich gastronomer Franz Xaver Kugler in 1922
