Electric Car Project 2008

Well here it is.  My car project number 19 - An electric Suzuki "MightyBoy" Conversion

Project commenced on Saturday 19 July 2008

And I thought I was finished with cars......

 I guess I have Jim Frazer to thank (or blame) for this.  I started playing with the new generation of LiPo batteries in my mini Helicopter (now sold on eBay).  this rekindled my interest in electric cars from when I worked on the Electric Car Project nearly 30 years ago at Flinders University. This project will be fast (40 Hp in 600 kg car) with a range of about 120 Km and a top speed of 110 Kph.

For you technical folk out there:

Motor is an Advanced DC Model 203-06-4001

Controller is a Curtis 1231C "On Road Controller"

And the Cells will be 40 off 90 Ah ThunderSky LiFePO4 (LFP’s)

Coming through from the front garden, through the old car port in all its glory.....
