Canada Travels 2010 - Nova Scotia 9 Yet another sunset this one at Port Hood, Nova Scotia Two new front tires - after the old ones started to delaminated after our first 10,000km of driving..... We are starting to like Canada Tire parking lots! The original temperature gauge on the old motor seems to vary widely So we decided to add a second gauge just to see what is actual happening..... So for $9.95 (plus fax) we added this BBQ meat probe! Added by making up a small wedge of neoprene with a "V" slot to accommodate the sealed Stainless Steel sensor part of the probe and sliding the assembly under the top radiator hose as shown above..... (commonly trick done in the vintage car movement as this is the hottest part of the cooling system) "B" shows the real temperature and "A" can be set to an alarm temperature..... Feeding the silicon sensor wire into the cabin...... And the Velcro mounting..... So when the temperature shown on "A" is equal to the value set on "B" (has been set to 100 degree C in our case) the alarm speaks the words....... "Your food is cooked" and I can set it to speak in English or French (votre plat est cuit)!!!! All for $9.95 Hmm but maybe it should be saying "your goose is cooked"?
