Small village communities can apply for government assistance to setup cooperatives for their traditional crafts

This cooperative is made up of rug weavers with three generations involved and over 250 families

In this case the government supplied power and sponsors various exhibits around India in the big cities to promote their craft

This potter works under a similar arrangement........

His produce (water jugs) is aimed at the domestic market in India

but he subsidies his income with ornamental work for tourist under the scheme
