Fabricating the base frame..... Page 1
Made a trip to the local scrap metal dealer and for $10 got enough steel to make two of theses guys!
Two curved rectangular tubes will be prefect for the base frame.....
I have decided to use nut inserts to act as spacers to prevent the tube from being crushed when the bolts are tightened
The bolts shown above are for testing the setup and will be replaced with suitable bolts and washers
These will be screwed in from the bottom of the frame allowing as much clearance on the bottom of the frame as possible
Nut insert (6mm) and tool....

Ready to be sanded back and painted......
