It should be noted that the availability to swivel the front seats is what make this project work. As can be seen in the above photograph, you gain a reasonable amount of space by doing this modification

 

So what's next?

 

  • Three windows will need removing and some minor rust sandblasted, rust proofed and repainted accordingly. This is because when the windows where added back in 2002 the freshly cut metal edges did not get primed correctly - basically poor workmanship... This is unfortunate as the body of these vehicles are actually galvanised when made!
  • Two minor dents will be fixed up at the same time 
  • Water tanks will be made and fitted under the vehicle floor
  • The auxiliary battery configuration will be designed and installed
  • The bed configuration will be finalized

  • Next the roof will go and a new "pop-top" roof fitted (in February) - see RED arrow above....
