Last night on the Atlantic Ocean - Murray Corner State Campground

 

This Campground is very close to the Confederation Bridge which takes you to Prince Edward Island.....

The opening of the bridge many years ago resulted in some small communities becoming ghost towns

Largely as a result of the ferry being shut down.... 

Old lighthouse now not needed..... 

 Locals now use the area as a cheap summer holiday spot on the ocean......

All jammed in like sardines!

Memories of a childhood in Canada

The outdoor clothes line with its pulley system!

Never seems to have made it to Australia for some reason

(for the Australians - the house end (not shown) has a small long skinny door that is opened to put the laundry out and bring it back in particularly in the winter  in Canada - These are now largely replaced by indoor clothes dryers

A stick was commonly used halfway down the clothes line to raise the line - preventing sheets etc from touching the ground

Now starting our way back to the Pacific Ocean
