USA Road trip 2014 - Page 9

Heading east we have decided to follow the Mormon Trail which is now basically the Lincoln Highway (or Hwy 30)

This parallels the major Interstate 80 freeway

The Union Pacific Railway (completed in 1869) also parallels our route



Trains seem to run every 20 minutes 24 hours a day!

Camping near the rail line ensures a poor nights sleep......



Still in Nebraska, up to 60 mph winds have slowed us down for the past two days.....



Tonight we are at a free camp near Columbus, Nebraska

As the signs show it's not the fun side of the island!
Nothing drinking a beer from a tea cup can't solve.....
