Lynmouth Avenue Renovations 2016 - Page 1 Background..... We have now lived in this house for 34 years and have basically never done any maintenance/repairs to the front area of the house. Over the years, we mainly concentrated on the house and rear garden that was great for raising our daughters, Emily and Sarah . After living in a condo on Vancouver Island this summer for almost 4 months we decided (well mainly caged animal Brucie!) that it was not the time to "downsize". The pleasure of the large garden, mature trees and native birds along with the dedicated sewing room and large workshop sheds won out. After all, being retired has given us time to enjoy the place without much stress. So the required maintenance and modernizing started in October. The next few pages are a log of the work performed.......
This window was an original outside window that was no longer needed. It looked into the master bedroom en-suite area - not a good thing.....
So it was bricked in.....
And a solar light added to fill the room with light......
Wall painted to match the feature wall in the master bedroom and mirrors added the two large wardrobe doors
Old internal window as viewed from the outside....
