OLD

The 35 year old aluminium windows need replacing as they were cheap frames installed into

the original 1949 wooden timber frames.

NEW

We decided on commercial frames for the project

50mm by 100mm profile framework was used.

Double Glazing (with 6mm outer and 4mm inner glass) was used were needed.

I decided to use Aluminium with thermal break technology and not u-PVC.

A thermal break is an insulating material placed between the interior and the exterior elements of the window frame, which will minimise the transfer of heat and cold through the frame.
